Ich Troje歌手简介:
Ich Troje is a Polish pop group made up of Michał Wiśniewski, Jacek Łągwa, Magdalena Pokora (aka Magda Femme, 1996-2000), Justyna Majkowska (2000-2003), Elli Mücke (2003) and Wiśniewski's current wife Anna Świątczak (since 2003).
Ich Troje was conceived in 1996 by songwriter Michal Wisniewski and composer Jacek Łągwa. The group's name can be translated as "Three of Them." Due to the nature of the Polish language this tells us that the three of them are either three children of mixed or same gender, or a group of adults of mixed gender. If they were three men or three women, the word "Troje" would have to change.
Despite this, the group became five members when they entered the Eurovision Song Contest 2006.
The group's music is castigated by the critics[citation needed] , and Michal Wisniewski frankly claims himself that he can't actually sing[citation needed].
Nevertheless, since about 2000, Ich Troje has been one of the most popular Polish groups. They have sold over 1.5 million records since June 2001. In the last two years Ich Troje has given over 300 concerts. Their songs talk about love, betrayal, break-ups.
On 25 January 2003, the public of Poland chose Ich Troje to represent them in 2003 Eurovision Song Contest through a televoting process. They performed a song called "No borders" in three languages (Polish, German, and Russian). The song came in seventh place overall. The song was recorded in these three language too but they also did a German language only version as well.
In 2006, Poland once again chose Ich Troje to represent them at Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the song "Follow My Heart," featuring O-Jay from the successful Eurodance act Real McCoy. They got eleventh place in the semi-finals, one away from qualifying for the finals.
