Lynn Hilary歌手简介:
LYNN HILARY I am so grateful to my Fairy Godmother for giving me the gift of song, if she had also given me the gift of humility I may not be writing this biog, but you can't have it all! I've been very fortunate to have been able to sing my way around the world. Music has brought me from the Egyptian Pyramids, to a Sacred Temple in Japan and everywhere in between! I began singing at the back of my local church because I was too shy to sing up the front. I think when I sang for 80,000 people at Croke Park with Riverdance at the Opening of the Special Olympics, I knew then my fear might have been conquered. I did the obligatory battle between classical and pop singing, and after realising I wasn't particularly good at either, I found somewhere in between where I was quite happy. It turns out there's more than two ways to sing! I managed to graduate with a hard-earned Bachelor of Music degree even though I wasn't singing "properly" and went out to find a job singing anyway. Anuna gave me my love for Irish music and a wealth of experience. I am very proud to feature as a soloist on several of their albums and their latest DVD Invocations of Ireland. Riverdance followed and brought me around the world once again. It was with Riverdance that I made my debut at Radio City Music Hall where I sang the lead for six nights. When I was younger my dream was to be a Riverdance dancer, but like I said earlier you just can't have it all!! I sing on the Riverdance 10th Anniversary album with Brian Dunphy, and also feature on their 10th Anniversary DVD. Now I am truly delighted, and humbled to be a member of Celtic Woman. Some of my highlights are playing Radio City Music Hall... again, but the stunning Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Colorado really stole the show for me! Just recently it was our great honour to sing for and shaking hands with (!!) President Obama and his beautiful family. I was honoured to be asked by Michelle if I was cold, to which I replied... Yes!! And singing for Bill Clinton last year wasn't bad either AND it was nice and warm inside. Celtic Woman has also allowed me the outlet for making my own album and a platform on which to have it released, for that I am so grateful to them. Said album is called "Take me with you" with Celtic Collections, and wouldn't exist were it not for the genius of a very talented man, singer-songwriter Don Mescall. To him I am also very very grateful. I am excited after over two years of touring with Celtic Woman to be involved in a whole new production called "Songs From The Heart" which will be released on CD and DVD. Thank you Fairy Godmother..
