Patrick Stump歌手简介:
born and raised in suburban Chicago, Patrick Stump (born April 24, 1984) made a name for himself as the soulful lead singer and rhythm guitarist for pop-punk unit Fall Out Boy. Stump was originally a drummer, acting as such in a local band when he randomly met guitarist Joe Trohman at an area Borders bookstore. Trohman was in the process of putting together a new band with his friend Pete Wentz, and though Stump initially tried out as their drummer, he soon joined the burgeoning group as their mild-mannered frontman. Stump wanted to sing and write songs, and as Fall Out Boy developed, he would become the yin to Wentz's yang -- he came to be responsible for the catchy melodies that Wentz's personal lyrics intertwined with, and his shy personality balanced out the attention-loving one of his counterpart. After forming in 2001, Fall Out Boy steadily built up a loyal grassroots following around the country before exploding into the mainstream consciousness with their 2005 album From Under the Cork Tree. By the mid-2000s, Stump (who's hardly ever seen without a hat on his head) had begun flexing his production and remixing skills on the side, his résumé growing to include work on albums for acts like the Hush Sound, Gym Class Heroes, and Cobra Starship.
