Tenille歌手简介:
Selected for both the September 2010 CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association) Songwriters Cafe and New Artist Showcase Grande Prairie\'s Tenille experienced her first taste of national media attention at age 9, when she was hoisted on to an Edmonton stage and performed in the spotlight with Shania Twain. While her mother looked on, Tenille declared, \"I really want to be a singer - that\'s my dream.\" And so her dream unfolds......
In 2004 Tenille was selected as Alberta\'s Peace Country Idol winner. The release of her first demo album in 2008 featured 7 songs; the release of Tenille\'s second demo in 2009, featuring 5 songs was produced by multi award winner, Duane Steele. A high school honour student and currently at the ripe age of 17, Tenille\'s songwriting skills have aligned her with some of the best in the country music business including Nashville SESAC Legacy Award Winner Stan Webb, and multi Juno nominated and CCMA Award winners Tim Taylor, Byron Hill, and Troy Kokol. She has recorded a song written by Grammy award winner, Gordie Sampson and is the only featured Canadian on the new US single, \"Each One Teach One\", executive produced by Ken Kragen and Pat Melfi launching internationally this Fall.
The release of HOME NOW, Tenille\'s first single to national country radio occurred in November 2009. The tribute to fathers serving overseas was met with tremendous radio response garnering Tenille live media interviews and performances with Edmonton\'s Citytv, CBC Radio, Alberta\'s CTV Primetime News and feature front page stories in both The Edmonton Journal and The Calgary Herald.
Having opened for acts such as Aaron Pritchett, Emerson Drive, Gord Bamford, The Wilkinsons, Sean Hogan, and Sue Medley, Tenille was selected to perform when the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay went through her hometown. She has taken the stage at Bud Country Fever festivals, performed The National Anthem prior to the Edmonton Eskimos Canadian Military Appreciation football game and was selected as a Royal Bank of Canada Emerging Artist to perform at West Edmonton Mall\'s Newcap Stage.
Tenille has contributed to fundraising efforts for Haiti and is the creator behind the annual music event BIG HEARTS FOR BIG KIDS benefiting Sunrise House, the only youth emergency shelter north of Edmonton. In February 2010, Tenille with her songwriting friends raised $30,000 in one evening keeping the doors of that shelter open. Her efforts were recognized and acknowledged by Chris Warkentin Canada\'s Member of Parliament for Peace River. In February 2011, audience attendance was higher as was the money turned over - this year Tenille\'s efforts had Sunrise House receive $60,000 in one evening - a total of $90,000 for the event only 2 years running. Tenille was recognized by the Grande Prairie Volunteer Services Bureau Association and awarded a LEADERS OF TOMORROW Award.
Working with Nashville based Canadian producer Fred Mollin, Tenille released her 5 song EP, NOTE TO SELF, with her first single, \"Wendy (Can You Hear Me Peter Pan)\" to national country radio as well as her current single, Pictures On A Crooked Wall - the official anthem for Big Hearts for Big Kids. Having completed the video filming in Los Angeles for Pictures On A Crooked Wall by highly acclaimed and multi award winning producer, Warren Sonoda, audiences can expect to see a lot more of Tenille with her video on rotation via CMT. In addition to Tenille\'s \"The Power of A Song\" performances, in March during Toronto\'s Canadian Music Week, she became the newest addition and was signed to Royalty Records based in Edmonton. Tenille\'s debut CD, REAL is scheduled for release June 11th, 2011.
A gifted singer and songwriter with a huge charitable heart, Tenille is living her dream while her dream continues to unfold.
